Dr. Lorne Newton 


Dr. Lorne Newton has been practising dentistry for 25 years, graduating from the University of Toronto in 1986.  As well as General Dentistry, Dr. Newton provides Orthodontic services including traditional braces and Invisalign for teens and adults. Dr. Newton is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association and enjoys supporting the Heart and Stroke foundation by actively participating in the Cancer Relay for Life.


Dr. Gerry Catapano 

Dr. Gerry Catapano graduated from University of Toronto faculty of dentistry in 1987. Gerry frequently attends continuing education courses in oral surgery, sedation and implantology.

As a proud member of the Ontario Dental Association, Gerry is also in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Dr. Andrew Steinman 

Dr. Andrew Steinman Dr. Andrew Steinman is a 2012 McGill University Dental School graduate, originally born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. Prior to dentistry, Dr. Steinman received a B.Sc. in anatomy, also from McGill. Dr. Steinman is proficient in all aspects of general dentistry. He is always attending continuing education courses to keep up-to-date with the latest dental trends. In his spare time, Dr. Steinman enjoys playing softball, hockey and is an avid skier. Dr. Steinman is married to Jennifer and together they enjoy spending time with their adorable two year old daughter, Abigail.



Dr Nari Farshadi 


Dr. Nari has a strong passion for cosmetic, restorative and general dentistry. He is a Member of the Australian Dental Association and Ontario Dental Association. He provides oral sedation including nitrous sedation and is a provider of Invisgalign.

Wanting to realise his childhood dream of becoming a dentist, Dr. Nari commenced his clinical studies at Canada’s premier University, The University of Toronto, graduating as a Biochemist, with honours in 2007. In addition, he received a Golden Key Membership for “Academic Excellence” from the University. Seeking the Australian lifestyle, he moved to Melbourne Australia where he attended Australia’s premier Dental School, The University of Melbourne. After graduating in Dentistry in 2012, he moved to Northern NSW where has since relished in both the lifestyle and providing quality dental care. Having grown up in Germany and Canada, Dr Nari speaks fluent German, English and Farsi. In his free time he enjoys kite-surfing and travelling. Dr Nari is excited to be part of the team and is looking forward to providing premium service and treatments to all its new patients.

Dr Nari is a member of the Royal College of dental surgeons of Ontario.

Jeannine Fox (Office Manager)

Jeannine graduated with a diploma in Dental Assisting in 2003. After completing her studies,she gained experience in office administration and management. With over 8 years of experience in office management, Jeannine runs our office efficiently and effectively. Jeannine loves spending time outdoors camping with her family, crafting and reading. Jeannine also loves being a part of the Innisfil community that she has lived in since the age of 5.

Karen Charles (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Karen has been working in the dental field for many years, first starting out as a Level II Dental Assistant and then graduating from the Georgian College Dental Hygiene program. She is an active member of the College of Dental Hygienist of Ontario (CDHO) and the Ontario Dental Hygiene Association (ODHA). Karen continues to be an asset to Applewood Dental and provides professional care to the community.

Janneith Hunter (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Jann has been working at Applewood Dental since graduating with Honours from the Georgian College Dental Hygiene Program. Jann's passion for helping lead her participate in an Interprofessional Trip to the Dominican Republic, along with co-worker Amy to provide dental care in rural areas. 

Amy Moodie (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Amy has always been interested in the dental field and decided to complete the Dental Hygiene Program at Georgian College. Volunteering and participating in community projects are Amy's passions. Amy has travelled Dominican Republic with co-worker Janneith,  to participate in interprofessional collaboration work.
